Contrary to the well-known aggregation caused quenching of chromophore, there are certain materials show no or weak emission at solution, but strong emission when aggregated, e.g. in solid films. The phenomenon is called aggregation induced emission (AIE).

Rubber Resilience Test
Bases on ASTM D2635, Rubber resilience is the ratio of rebound height to drop height of a metal plunger of prescribed mass and shape which is allowed to fall on the rubber specimen.

Indium tin oxide (ITO) is tin-doped In2O3, a n-type wide-bandgap heavily doped (or degenerate) semiconductor with certain metal-like properties. Therefore it is a transparent conductor, and broadly used in variety of industries.

Provided temperature is low enough, all gas molecules can be condensed onto a cold surface and thus creates vacuum in an enclosed chamber.

Gloss is a measure of object’s surface property, e.g. shiny, metallic, or matte. It measures the percentage of spectral reflection.

In the publication (Nanoscale Research Letters 2011, 6:458), Shin et al introduced a nano-imprinting process, including fabrication of a flexible imprinting mold and using this mold, the micro- to nano-sized patterns of the original master Si template were replicated on a flat Si substrate and curved aryl substrate.
