Inhibitors

In silicone addition curing, inhibitors must be used to exclude the vinyl groups from the platinum at temperatures around room temperature to have enough pot life. At elevated temperatures, e.g. above 80°C, these inhibitors evaporate and dissociate from the platinum, or react with the SiH and become part of the cured matrix. In either case, they can no longer exclude the polymer vinyl groups, and cure takes place rapidly.

Stretch releasing tape-2

WO1995006691A1 teaches how to make a conformable pressure sensitive adhesive tapes which comprise a layer of polymeric foam in the backing and may be adhered firmly to a substrate and thereafter removed therefrom after only being stretched at an angle no greater than about 35° from the surface of the substrate.

Stretch de-bondable tape-1

US005516581A teaches a method to make a stretchable de-bondable tape, where the tape carrier is a highly extensible film (or others) with low elastic recovery (preferably less than 30%). This property could be useful for the indication of tampering and ensureing single use in certain applications.

US 8,193,259 B2, with title of “UV-CURABLE PRESSURE-SENSITIVE ADHESIVE COMPOSITION WITH A FLUORINATED ACRYLIC BINDER RESINAND PRESSURE-SENSITIVE ADHESIVE FILM USING THE SAME”, teaches a way to formulate UV Release (UVR) adhesive formulation where a fluorinated acrylic segment is introduced to the main chain to deliver excellent pick-up performances after UV illumination.

Polymeric Photoinitiator

Polymeric photo initiators have at least two advantages: (1) low migration rate due to their long polymer chain compared with small molecular counterparts; (2) higher cross linking efficiency since only one step reaction is needed to form bridges between two polymer chains, while small molecular initiators need two steps.
