Pinnacles National Park

Pinnacles National Park is about 2 hours driving from South Bay area. There are two entrances, east and west entrances, which is divided by rock formation. There are no through road that connects the two entrances; but a hiking foot trail.

The park presents magnificent rock view due to the eroded leftovers of the western half of an extinct volcano that has moved 200 miles (320 km) from its original location on the San Andreas Fault, embedded in a portion of the California Pacific Coast Ranges.

Pinnacles is most often visited in spring, fall, winter because of the intense heat during the summer months. Park lands are prime habitat for prairie falcons, and are a release site for California condors that have been hatched in captivity.

石峰国家公园最佳的游玩时期是春、秋、冬三季，尤其冬季；炎热的夏季比较的不舒服。其实冬天的加利福利亚到处都是美景，周边的公路101，152，156，198，25就像是在公园里穿梭。

This trip was made thought eastern entrance. Due to limited parking spaces, all tourists were asked to park in front of visitor center and then take a shuttle (20mins/shift) to the parking in front of Bear Gulch Natural Center. Or you certainly can hike all the way to there, about 2.5miles long. The view is fine.

From the parking, take bear gulch reservoir trail. It has good mountain view until you reach a natural stone gate as shown the photo. passing through the gate, everything is magnificent.

到达自然中心后，可以小憩片刻，看看影片介绍，与工作人员聊聊地质演变过程。他们都会热情跟您讲解的。然后，建议沿bear gulch reservoir小道上山。沿途是一般的山景，直至到达上图的石门。穿过之后，有桃花源豁然开朗之感。一副绝美山石美景呈现于前。
