The advantages and disadvantages of silicone adhesives

Advantages

Disadvantages

Wide application temperature range Poor solvent resistance
Moisture/UV resistance Low adhesive strength
Excellent adhesion to low energy surfaces Low Tack
Conformability Pricey
Clean removability Silicon Transfer issue
Electrical insulation
Sound dampening

Addition curing

Peroxide Curing

In this approach, the curing takes two steps: firstly the solvent should be removed by drying at 70C for 1-2mins because residue solvents can react with BPO and generate bubbles; secondly, silicone cured at 180-204C for 1-2mins.
